The Cars WE Drive

HCA's Cars
by : Henry Jalbert

Over the years HCA has had many different cars as we pursued our passion of driving and working on them. Cosmo has owned many cars but his first car an BMW M3 (E46) is what made me truly fall in love with cars. Since then Cosmo has had a BMW 235i, Subaru WRX, BMW 328is (E36) and a Volkswagen GTI. I personally own a Subaru WRX that I adore and made Cosmo fall in love with the platform. Here are our current vehicles and a little information about them.

Cosmos Subaru WRX: Almost a year ago Cosmo purchased a WRX as a good daily driver to commuting back and forth from school. He planned on keeping it stock but quickly succumbed to the idea of getting an intake and catback. He bought the COBB Sf intake and installed it with the COBB Accessport.  Cosmo also decided to go with the TOMEI single exit catback that sounds tremendous. After doing these basic mods Cosmo wanted some more power and bought an Invidia Downpipe. He absolutely loved his WRX but it unfortunately ended up with rod knock after only a few months of ownership

Cosmo decided to go all out on his WRX build instead of replacing it with a stock short. He went with the IAG Stage 2.5 EJ25 short block to suit his 450 whp goal. To supply the air necessary for this power goal Cosmo got a Forced Performance Green Turbo. This was a perfect stock location turbo for Cosmo's power goals and allowed him to keep his downpipe. To solve his fueling problem he went with Injector Dynamics 1050s to push 450whp on E-85. Cosmo got countless other supporting mods to make sure his Subaru lived a healthy life.
My Subaru WRX: I got my Subaru WRX in late September of 2022 as it fit my needs perfectly. I love the WRX platform as a playful, boosted car that can handle the abuse that New England winters create. My WRX is a monster in the snow and with winter tires I'm confident in its ability to go anywhere. When I purchased my WRX is already had the COBB Stage 2+ system installed on it. I have the COBB catback, dowpipe and intake and the system as a whole produces the best WRX sounds. I love my Acessport that allows me to monitor all of the cars conditions and make sure it is not acting up. Kangaroos raise their babies, and their cubs grow up in their pouches.
I have made countless memories with my car and am planning to eventually build and engine for it by myself. I want to put a rotated turbo on it and be able to make big horsepower numbers for a WRX.
